O precious! Do not allow the world
by Ross Rhodes
O precious! Do not allow the world
To close in upon you so tight
That past and future are obscured
By the dark of the present night.
I awoke to your bright morning flower --
Brush away the dew that gathers in your eyes and you shall see it as well.
I retire to the hope of your tomorrow's bloom --
Rest, so that the sun may rise; your dawn shall break upon us still.
O precious! Your day is not only your day.
It is my life. Draw the shade and see yourself
Not only as you are but as you will become.
I have your past. Ask, it is not gone.
I have your future. You are not alone.
